My Tehran application will be unavailable from the 25th of May and all services of this application will be provided through Shahrzad.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, since the 30th of April 2024, the message “Dear citizen, from the 5th of June 1403, My Tehran application will be unavailable and all services will be provided through the Shahrzad citizen super-application.” It will be displayed to the audience as soon as the My Tehran application is opened.
It seems that after the bugs and major problems of My Tehran application and the hacking of the municipal systems, finally, the managers of the information and communication technology organization of the municipality have decided to avoid parallel work and finish the story of My Tehran. Of course, the Shahrzad implementation project and its extensive advertising also showed that the municipality wants to move urban services to this application. But the bad experience of users in recent years from the My Tehran system and the lack of updating of the online services of the municipality have disappointed many users from this institution, and for now it does not seem that there will be a major change in this matter by changing the name and application.
After the hacking of the municipality in June 2022, “My Tehran” could never return to normal. Now we have to wait and see if Shahrzad can be a new beginning for a platform whose exclusive service for municipal services has not met with the satisfaction of users or not.
