According to the letter issued by the prosecutor’s office, the sale of plane tickets has been banned on 13 platforms, including Alibaba, Snapptrip, Flytoday, Flightio, Mrbilit, and Safarmarket.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, In a letter written by the deputy prosecutor and the deputy head of the public prosecutor’s office and the special revolution of the country’s airports to the CEOs of 20 airlines of the country, any “transfer and sale of tickets” was directed to the sites and companies of Alibaba, Flytoday, Flightio, Mrbilit, Safarmarket, Snapptrip, Saina Gasht Zoragh, Charter 724, Jahan Parvaz Dezful, Moqtader Seir Iranian, Aniticket, tixcharterr and Parvaz747 have been banned.
Prosecutor’s letter and prohibition of 13 platforms for selling plane tickets due to overselling
The prosecutor’s office stated that the reason for this ban was “expensive sale of air travel tickets” by these companies.
Previously, Jafar yazarluo the spokesman of the Civil Aviation Organization, announced that eight unauthorized sites for selling plane tickets were introduced to the prosecutor’s office to block them. The names of these sites were: Flytoday, 780 Tickets, Goalgasht, Hamanseir 724, Seoidcharter, Aniticket24, Flayday and Anilparvaz.
It should be noted that this letter has been issued while the multi-rate domestic flight price has practically nothing to do with online ticket sales platforms and these sites only display the official rate announced by the airlines.
With the arrival of the Civil Aviation Authority, the ban on selling plane tickets on the platforms was suspended
Shortly after the publication of the news of banning the sale of plane tickets on 13 platforms announced by the prosecutor’s office, this sentence was suspended. In a letter to the airline companies, the Civil Aviation Organization announced that after the agreement reached with the prosecutor’s office, the ruling will be suspended until the end of Farvardin 17th 1403.
In a letter to all airlines, Reza Sedqnia, Director General of the Office of Supervision of Airports, Companies and Aviation Institutions of the Civil Aviation Organization requested them to the restrictions on ticketing and access to the reservation system for each of these sites and travel service offices be removed until further notice.
In this letter, it is also emphasized that the overselling of ticket sales sites will be dealt with on any date and the result of this action is the suspension or cancellation of the activity license of the wrong office or company.
