Akbar Ghahri, the CEO of SamanTel, announced on the X social network that the cause of the disruption for Blubank and Saman Bank was a problem in the data center’s electricity. He mentioned yesterday as the hardest working day of his life and apologized to several million customers of Samantel, Blubank and Saman Bank.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, in response to one of the users who asked the reason for the lack of notification earlier, Ghahri wrote: “The conditions were so bad that we could not even send SMS.”
Ghahri wrote on X social network:
“I passed the hardest working day of my life. The support of some loved ones was really encouraging and most of all my dad’s calls encouraged me. I don’t know how to apologize to several million customers of SamanTel, Blubank and Saman Bank.
Yesterday, it was not possible for users to enter the Blu app and make purchases with its cards, which caused them dissatisfaction. When entering the Blu app, users were faced with the message “An error has occurred on the server”. In addition, the company’s contact phones were also disconnected at the same time!
Previously, Blubank’s marketing manager stated in an interview that 63% of the market of neobanks and digital bank branches belongs to Blubank. In April of this year, Blu unveiled two services, “Dong” and “Car Services”.
“Dong” allows users to identify each person in the Blu Dong application in cases where a person has spent money and is the so-called expenses manager, so that people who share in that cost can pay their share. Car service is another service that Blubank has included in its application. In this service, by registering the number of the car or motorcycle and paying the fee through his Blubank account, the user can inquire about the total cost of the violation of his car.
