According to Iran digital economy annotation, on February 20st, news was published about the ban on selling flight tickets on Asanpardakht. Now, Asanpardakht has announced in a statement:
“Following the interview published on February 20th, 2024 by the head of the Civil Aviation Organization, Asanpardakht informs that there is no It has not interfered in the pricing of domestic and foreign flight tickets, and the issue of overselling tickets, which was mentioned in the interview, is not the responsibility of Asanpardakht.”
In this statement, the app has introduced itself as a platform and not a decision-maker regarding the prices and has given: Asanpardakht as a platform to develop and increase the sales of more than 20 domestic businesses, through a cooperation agreement with a reputable company licensed to sell all types of tickets. And the tourism services in Asanpardakht provide tourism services to its millions of users and do not play a role in pricing and issuing and canceling tickets.
This company also sells flight tickets based on the ticket pricing policies implemented by airlines and charter companies. Therefore, when the issue of overselling is raised, since each airline and charter company can set its own price for the flight ticket, then all the pricing is always done by them and the flight tickets are sold to the users with these prices.
For this reason, any change in the prices from the side of Asanpardakht is meaningless and the accusation of overselling is untrue.
By providing more than 100 services in various fields online, Asanpardakht has always moved in the direction of easy access for users to the types of services they need in the form of a single and centralized Asanpardakht.
Mohammad Mohammadi Bakhsh, the head of the Civil Aviation Organization, announced yesterday that “Moj Zamzam companies, Charter 724 and its subsidiaries and Asanpardakht Software Group” have been banned from selling and selling tickets until further notice due to the high price of plane tickets.
