“Snapp Supermarket” has published the one-year performance report of its partner stores. In three chapters, this report has examined the performance of sellers, user behavior and strategies for more sales on the Snapp supermarket platform.
Cooperation of 5 thousand stores with Snap supermarket
According to Iran digital economy annotation, from the second half of 2022, the two services “Snapp Express” (online ordering from local and chain supermarkets) and “Snapp Market” (online ordering from hyperstar chain stores) were merged under the name Snapp Supermarket. This report claims that the result of this synergy was to provide a higher quality service to the users of this platform.
According to Snap Supermarket, more than 5,000 stores in 31 provinces of the country have cooperated with this platform so far, and as a result of this cooperation, more than 7 million users have benefited from the online services of selling supermarket goods at least once.
Snapp supermarket records in one year
In a part of this report, the records and achievements of Snapp supermarket in 2023 are mentioned.
At 19:00 on the 31st of January 2023, the partner stores of Snapp Supermarket managed to successfully collect and send 80,000 supermarket items. To send this amount of goods, the cooperation of 10,000 motor couriers was needed.
The average online sales of top platform stores last year was almost 671 thousand dollors. Of course, this statistic does not take into account sales in chain stores and is only related to local stores. Also, the highest annual sales was related to one of the partner stores in Tehran province with about 805 thousand dollors sales per year.
The growth in the number of orders in March 2023, compared to March 2022, was more than 50%, and one of the cooperating stores in Isfahan managed to register a 15-fold increase in the number of orders in one year.
Analysis of the behavior of Snapp supermarket users
According to the data of the second chapter of this report, which deals with the analysis of users’ behavior, the largest shopping basket included 247 items and the most expensive shopping basket from partner stores was worth 863 dollors.
Shopping baskets of Snapp supermarket users include 7 items on average and the Rial value of these baskets has grown by 50% compared to the previous year. Also, monthly users have ordered more than 23 million items from among the variety of products available on this platform.
The study of the buying behavior of users shows that most of the supermarket purchases happen on weekends. Thursday and Friday have been the most ordered days of the week for the users of this platform.
The best-selling products of this platform were Coca-Cola 1.5 liter soft drink, Cheetoz snack and Mahsham low-fat milk, respectively.
The statistics of this report show that snacks, dairy products and drinks are the most popular among Snapp supermarket users.
