An Iranian knowledge-based company has succeeded in building a “Nano Spectrophotometer” device as the smallest spectrometer available in the world, which is used in chemical laboratories and various industries.
According to the Iran digital economy annotation, citing the Vice President for Science, Technology and Economy of Knowledge-based Presidency, Fereydoun Hasanpour, the CEO of Knowledge-based Electron Engineering Company, the leader in research, stating that the products of this knowledge-based company in the field of spectroscopy have been chosen as the selected design in the “Iran Sakht” exhibition in several periods.
The well-known said: This company is one of the first companies that started operating in the field of spectroscopy and we have made many achievements in this field. The result of the work in the first stage was that we achieved the smallest spectrophotometer in the world, which is called “Nanospectrophotometer”, which is available in the range of 390 to 850 nm with an accuracy of 1 nm.
He pointed out: The Nano spectrophotometer with dimensions of 10 x 6 x 4 cubic centimeters – nearly one third of similar foreign samples – is the smallest spectrometer available in the world, which was designed and built by relying on the science and ability of domestic experts. Despite its small size, this device has unique features.
Referring to the main and distinctive capabilities and features of this device, Hassanpour clarified: the use of cold lamp technology to avoid heat generation in the device, having a wide wavelength range, sending information through a USB cable, optical fiber communication capability, wireless charging.
Fast charging via USB cable, three hours of use with just one charge of the device, very low energy consumption, fully advanced software, displaying the temperature inside the device, recording the duration of the device’s operation in the hardware, recording the duration of the light source, with an automatic troubleshooting system Hardware and having a unique serial number inside the UID hardware is one of the features of this spectrometer.
He continued: The capabilities of this device, compared to similar foreign models, are wireless data transmission, secondly, it can be charged wirelessly, and in the third stage, a mobile application has been developed for it, in addition to the laptop and system, for applications Variety, customization.
Hassanpour said about the spectrometer manufactured by this company: Spectroscopy is used in various industries, including chemical laboratories, pharmaceutical industries, food industries, agricultural industries, and oil and gas industries. It is used to analyze the behavior of solutions.
This first grade saffron gives peaks in three wavelengths, meaning that if the saffron is first grade, it gives three peaks in the area related to color, taste and smell. If you buy saffron from the market and you don’t know about its quality, we will compare it with the reference results and analyze the results. In this way, fake saffron are identified by this method.
The CEO of this knowledge-based company stated: The use of this spectrometer is also in paint industries, pharmaceutical industries and food industries, the quality of essential oils of food and beverages, etc.
Hasanpour stated that similar foreign samples, despite their larger dimensions, do not have the ability to transmit information wirelessly and even charge wirelessly, saying: This spectrometer is also patented in Canada.
