Shaparak Company, with the aim of controlling, supervising, policymaking, monitoring, analyzing, and planning, as well as monitoring and forecasting, developing the technical, legal, regulatory, and human infrastructure of the country’s electronic payment network, and managing the market and rent-seeking from it, was established as a subsidiary of the Central Bank on December 30, 2011.
According to IDEA, the company’s activities, mainly focused on creating the necessary infrastructure for performing this important mission, have played a pivotal role in the field of electronic payments in the country for a decade. Based on the assigned duties, Shaparak has acted as a capable company in realizing national and governance regulations in the field of electronic payments, enabling intelligent and purposeful utilization of all internal and external opportunities and capacities in this area.
In the year 2022, Shaparak, as it enters the second decade of its activities, aims to be a driving force for the growth and development of payment and financial services ecosystems. It seeks to become a focal point of trust for stakeholders and users and a point of reliance for financial technologists in the country, aligning with successful global patterns.
