In a decree, the president appointed “Ehsan Kian Khah” as the “Secretary of the Information Technology Executive Council”. He succeeded Reza Bagheri asl in this position.
According to the Iran digital economy annotation, and quoting from the Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, “Ebrahim Raisi”, the President appointed “Ehsan Kiankhah” to the position of “Secretary of the Executive Council of Information Technology” based on the proposal of the Minister of Communications.
Continuous effort in order to approve the goals and executive policies for the development of the industry and the use of information technology, to apply the necessary executive and technical coordination in expanding the use of information technology in the provision of electronic services in social, economic and cultural fields; Taking advantage of the capacities of the non-governmental and public sector in the development and application of information technology in public services, following up on the implementation of the national data and information law, closely monitoring the progress of approved programs in line with the establishment and development of a smart government, and creating a platform for the expansion of information and communication technology applications in The country has been mentioned in the framework of the general policies of the system, the approvals of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace and relevant laws, including the president’s demands for the new secretary of the Information Technology Executive Council.
It should be noted that “Ehsan Kiankhah” has a doctorate degree in strategic management and a bachelor’s degree in software engineering. Among his most important previous responsibilities are “Advisor to the Minister of Communications on Smart Government Affairs”, “Co-Founder and Head of the Virtual Space Studies Center of Islamic Culture and Thought Research Institute” and “Information Technology Director of Mofid Rahbar Audit Institute”.
According to the public relations announcement of the Ministry of Communications, Kian Khah has been working as a researcher and implementer of strategic projects in the field of information technology and virtual space for many years and has many publications and articles in this field. In addition to numerous scientific articles in the field of security and cyberspace, he has “Conceptualization of Zakat” in Imam Reza Seminary and “Conceptualization of Cybersecurity with a Religious Approach” in the first national cyber defense conference. Compilation of “Strategies for expanding the presence of revolutionary popular forces in cyberspace” and “Strategies for expanding the presence of Basij (revolutionary forces) in cyberspace” are among Kiankhah’s scientific activities.
Among the notes written by him are “Increasing the speed of the Internet and the negligence of those in charge”, “Telegram disaster and general neglect in the area of Iran”, “Proposal to form the Ministry of Cyber Security and Data Protection” and “Cyber Border Patrol Areas”.
It should be mentioned that “Reza Bagheri Asl”, who was in charge of this responsibility before, is still in charge of the deputy of government affairs and parliament of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, as well as replacing the minister in the digital economy working group.
