According to Iran digital economy annotation, Eisa Zarepour, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stated today at the fourth conference of the National Development Fund: The share of the digital economy in the GDP in our country has reached 7.9%, but the average in the world is 15%, which is supposed to be in The seventh plan should be at least 10%.
He said: 500,000 people are supposed to be trained in digital economy and within 6 months, the artificial intelligence document will be prepared in the government. It is also decided to establish a digital economy exchange in the near future.
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology added: Currently, we have 1,450 cities in the country, one third of which are covered by optical fiber, and soon 80% of people will have access to optical fiber services.
He stated: We are setting up data poles in three parts of the country and we are ready to establish data processing farms.
According to Zarepour, the growth of the economy in the country has been low, but the growth of the digital economy is at least 10% and accounts for 35% of the growth.
Referring to the role of this fund in realizing the goals of the 7th Progress Program in the development of the digital economy, he said: In the definition of the digital economy, it is said that economic value creation is based on new technologies. Its core layer is software and hardware production, and the next layer is digital economy, sharing, digital services, etc. In the last layer is the digitalized economy and e-commerce.
Zarepour added: In the law of the 7th development plan, there is a chapter for the digital economy. Between 5 and 7 percent of program law is directly and indirectly related to the digital economy. Some key technologies in the ecosystem of the digital economy include: mobile phones, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cyber security, big data analysis, augmented reality, robotics, and the Internet of Things.
He continued: We are obliged to connect all the country’s buildings to the Internet through fiber optic platform until the end of the program. Also, the formalization of digital assets is another task that we have, along with which we should facilitate the entry of these companies into the stock market, which will lead to their growth.
National Development Fund in advancing the Ministry’s plans and said: we are in the fields of communication infrastructure development (especially the optical fiber project for homes and businesses), setting up information infrastructure and processing centers, smartening of the country’s large industries and agriculture, localization of equipment in the field of communication and information technology, production and international marketing for equipment and products and services in the field of Fava, intelligentization of postal services and development of industrial space are interested in the cooperation of the National Development Fund.
