The “I’m not in a hurry” option has been removed from the Tapsi application since Saturday, April 27.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, it was from February of 2023 that the pressure of the government punishment organization on two internet taxis, Snapp and Tapsi, intensified and they were asked to remove the option of “I’m in a hurry” because otherwise they will be closed. Snapp first and then Tapsi were forced to accept this instruction.
However, Tapsi’s “I’m not in a hurry” option was still active, and many users could use this option if they were not in a hurry and had enough time. However, since the beginning of this week (April 27, 2024) and according to the court order, the “I’m not in a hurry” option has been removed from the Tapsi application. It seems that according to the focus of regulatory bodies on online taxi prices in recent months, the approach of these bodies is to eliminate options that cause any price changes
In this regard, Tapsi said: Our goal of adding options such as “I’m in a hurry” and “I’m not in a hurry” is to provide various facilities according to the conditions and needs of users, and we hope that we can continue to take steps towards this goal. However, this option has been removed by court order.
