The police have asked the Supreme Council of Cyber Space to make the use of Farz compulsory
According to the Iran digital economy annotation, Yesterday, some new indigenous products were unveiled in FATA Police, one of them is the “Farz” system. A system that is actually a mobile antivirus, and the police is also following the mandatory use of it through the Supreme Council of Cyberspace.
Referring to the unveiling of the “Farz” system yesterday, “Ghasem Rezaei”, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Police, said that this system is actually an Iranian antivirus (security scanner) that can check any mobile application and declare whether it is malicious or not. According to him, this system can identify more than 60% of malware in cyberspace and prevent mobile phones from being hacked by these applications.
Rezaei also announced that the use of “Farz” has been suggested by the police to the Supreme Council of Cyberspace so that this council makes its use mandatory so that we can see a reduction in the installation of malware on Iranians’ mobile phones. It is not clear how this forced installation will be implemented on the phones of Iranian users. Maybe this issue will be followed in native mobile phones. Mobile phones of which the Minister of Communications and Information Technology promised to make a million of them by the end of the year.
In another part of his speech, the Deputy Chief of Police pointed out the position of FATA police in the country and said: “FATA police is one of the groups that provides multiple services to the people, and due to the performance of these tasks, it can be said that the role of the police is “FATA is unmatched in the security and peace of the people, and based on the reports presented in this conference, it can be said that they have grown in various issues.”
