The head of the Digital Innovation and Transformation Center of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Sahar Bonakdarpour, believes that generation Y and X have found their job position to some extent, and now the focus should be on the young workforce of generation Z, who are about to enter the labor market
According to Iran digital economy annotation, the Innovation and Digital Transformation Center of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce organized the “Lantern road” event at the Shariati Technical and Vocational College in Tehran with the aim of guiding the career path of the generation Z young workforce and empowering women and girls in the labor market.
Saebeh Solouki, the CEO of Niro Faraz Company, while presenting statistics on the employment status of the students of the said faculty in the labor market and their experiences in this field, stated:
“All our efforts are to go to the universities to facilitate the connection between the industry and the university. Therefore, this event is organized with the aim of creating interaction between job seekers and employers and with the role of facilitator among actors who are concerned in the field of training and recruitment of human resources.”
The head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce Digital Innovation and Transformation Center, Sahar Bonakdarpour, also said:
“In this field, there are various agents and actors who have concerns, but they are far from each other. For this reason, at the Digital Innovation and Transformation Center of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, we tried to reduce this gap as much as possible by creating interaction and common literature. Considering the mission of the Tehran Chamber in the field of women’s empowerment and since, according to statistics, the role of women has become weaker in the labor market, especially after the spread of the corona virus, we decided to enter this field.”
Bonakdarpour added: Since the generations before generation Z, like the baby boomers, are retiring and withdrawing from the labor market, and generations Y and X have found their job positions to some extent and their tasks are clear, we decided on the young workforce of generation Z, who are about to enter the labor market, let’s focus.
