“Pouya Pirhosseinloo” the CEO of ArvanCloud believes that the monopoly and the infrastructure company’s inability to provide bandwidth and deal with attacks is the main reason for Internet disruptions.
According to Iran digital economy annotation,”Pouya Pirhosseinloo”, the CEO of “ArvanCloud”, confirming the serious disruptions of the country’s Internet last week, considers the root of these disruptions in cyber attacks and says: “Apparently, the main reason for these disruptions is the monopoly and inability of the infrastructure company to provide sufficient bandwidth And Redundant and dealing with DDoS attacks.
Pirhosseinloo considered the biggest Internet crisis in Iran to be “unbridled filtering” that is carried out in the country.
CEO ArvanCloud emphasizes that “only the Ministry of Communications can investigate the network in an integrated manner and state a decisive cause for network problems.” He considers DDoS attacks on operators and infrastructure companies to be the cause of severe internet disruptions since the beginning of the year. In DDoS attacks, the attacker sends a large number of fake requests to the server so that the server crashes and cannot respond to real requests.
Pirhosseinloo considers the country’s Internet problem to be in the access layer and believes that the development of optical fiber will solve the problem of this layer. Of course, he states that “optical fiber alone will not solve the internet problem in the country.”
