Asiatech Company started the implementation of optical fiber drilling (FTTX) in the cities of Semnan province during this week.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, the implementation of this project has started in Mahdi city and will soon be followed in the three cities of Garmsar, Semnan and Damghan. With the completion of this project, more than 169,000 households in Semnan province will be connected to the optical fiber network.
The inauguration of Mehdi city optical fiber infrastructure project was held in the presence of Asiatech directors, Hossein Mousavi, Semnan mayor, Seyed Yaser Hasanpour, director general of communications and information technology of Semnan province.
In this meeting, the mayor of Semnan pointed out the importance of implementing the city’s infrastructure projects and said: “Today, the need for citizens to benefit from up-to-date and advanced technologies is not hidden from anyone. We in the municipality have made a lot of efforts to create suitable infrastructure for this purpose.
Recently, a contract was signed with Asiatech company to use the expertise and ability of this company to equip the city of Semnan with an optical fiber network.
Seyyed Yaser Hasanpour, Director General of Communications and Information Technology of Semnan Province, also said: “Drilling operations have started in Mehdi city, and optical fiber implementation operations will begin in the cities of Garmsar, Semnan and Damghan soon. “Fortunately, all the facilities and fields are available for the quick implementation of this project, and we hope that this project will be put into operation by next year.”
Asiatech Public Relations has announced: Since the beginning of the 13th government, a new goal has been set for the access of 20 million households to fiber optic network. For the implementation of this project, 10 operators were considered to help the development of the project by dividing the cities and provinces of the country, each in a geographical area.
Our goal in Asiatech is to cover four million households, of which 1.5 million households will be in metropolitan cities and 2.5 million in cities and provincial centers. Based on this, the share of Semnan province is 169 thousand 755 households, and with its completion in the next two years, the communication access of families will expand up to 100 times.
The first executive operation of the Asiatech optical fiber project started in October 1401 in Chalus city of Mazandaran province. This project was completed in May of this year with access to more than 30,000 households in this city to high-speed internet based on optical fiber (FTTH) with a capacity of 930 megabits per second.
