Asiatech has begun expanding its fiber optic network to homes and businesses in the cities of Noorabad Delfan, Kuhdasht, Islamabad, and Biston. Upon completion of these projects, over 70,000 households will be covered by fiber optic services.
According to Asiatech’s public relations department, excavation and construction for the fiber optic network development in Noorabad Delfan and Kuhdasht in Lorestan Province and Islamabad and Biston in Kermanshah Province have recently commenced.
Of the new cities, Noorabad Delfan, Kuhdasht, and Biston are currently in the construction phase, while the project in Islamabad West has recently reached the operational stage. Excavation in Noorabad Delfan began on August 3, 2024, with Asiatech committed to covering 18,607 households in this city. To date, 3.2 kilometers of excavation has been completed.
Asiatech has also pledged to cover 24,347 households in Kuhdasht, Lorestan. This project, which began on July 11, 2024, has seen 11.3 kilometers of excavation.
In Biston, excavation began in late July 2024 and aims to cover 1,495 households. Over four kilometers of excavation have been completed for this project.
In Islamabad, Kermanshah, 26,503 households will benefit from fiber optic services upon completion of the project. This project requires over 25 kilometers of excavation, nearly 50% of which has been completed. When finished, these projects will bring Asiatech’s fiber optic network to approximately 71,000 households, providing access to the company’s ultra-fast fiber optic internet services.
Asiatech has already connected over one million households to its fiber optic network and aims to cover four million households by the end of 2025. To date, the company has installed fiber optic networks in 115 cities across 12 provinces in the country.
