According to the IDEA, The purpose of holding this meeting was to present and express economic and financial reports in the field of SEO, to express the concerns and challenges of employers and executives in the field of SEO, such as the lack of real experts and the lack of appropriate technical and non-technical training.
In this press conference, “Faezeh Ghafouri”, director of “Triboon” Marcom, “Mohammed Zeraati”, marketing director of Parspack, and “Ali Hosseini”, director of “SEO Lab” group, gave a speech and addressed the SEO job market category from different angles.
Filtering, the main challenge of SEO experts
At the beginning of this meeting, which was held with the presence of SEO enthusiasts and a group of journalists, “Faezeh Ghafouri”, Marcom manager of “Triboon” group, presented interesting statistics of the economic turnover of the SEO field. “In 2019, 53% of website traffic is organic and through the SEO channel, and the placement of a website in the initial search results indicates the credibility of that website and business, and the user prefers to buy from a business that is present in Google results.”
Ghafouri called filtering as the main challenge of SEO specialists inside the country, while outside of Iran, “lack of sufficient resources” is considered the main challenge of specialists in this field: “The next challenge is communication with other groups. The lack of financial and human resources is one of the other challenges of the activists in this field, which is the first challenge for global SEO experts, but for Iranians, it is the fourth challenge, which shows the involvement of SEO experts in Iran with more basic issues.
The importance of SEO on branding
“Mohammedreza Zeraati”, Marketing Manager of Parspack, was the second speaker who pointed out the multi-dimensionality of the SEO team’s activities: “The first result that a business will get from SEO activities is to achieve branding.” Branding experts usually give suggestions to employers in order to make the business brand known, which has very high costs.
A part of sales also happens with good branding. But SEO can do cheaper and more reliable branding by creating a good ranking in the web space.
In the following, Parspack’s marketing manager pointed out the multidimensionality of SEO specialists’ activities: “A good and professional SEO specialist must know skills such as content creation, the ability to communicate, manage challenges and crises, and finally act according to the persona of the product. In addition, a good SEO expert should be able to perform well in marketing and product development, in addition to paying attention to tools.
Don’t be one-dimensional
Later, “Ali Hosseini”, the director of “SeoLab” complex, was behind the podium of the meeting. Pointing out that an SEO specialist should not be one-dimensional, Hosseini said: “SEO consultant specialist should not be one-dimensional and, for example, should know programming. Communicating is another feature that an SEO specialist should learn in their work relationships.
Also, an SEO specialist must have knowledge of content creation; The content does not have to be expert work, but it should have knowledge in this field. He must also have an understanding of business. Business managers need their SEO to know brand, marketing and work psychology. “Many soft skills help to communicate with people and understand their needs.”
There is a shortage of specialized SEO work
In the final part, “Nima Mohammad Hasani”, the marketing consultant of Iran Talent Group, spoke about the lack of human resources among SEO specialists. According to him, in the past month, about three thousand advertisements have been published by employers to recruit SEO specialists on the web.
Also, many of these job advertisements have suitable conditions such as no work experience or the possibility of remote work, but the number of those who have applied for these job opportunities has been very limited.
Mohammad hasani further mentioned the cooperation between Iran Talent Group and SEO Lab to improve the soft skills of SEO trainees. In this regard, at the beginning of 2023, we introduced our product called TalentCoach, which is connected with only 12 universities across the country, and we rebranded it as Kardix Group from the Iran Talent Group, and now we cooperate with many academies in various specialties.
